I've decided to try out a Blog post format for news items on this page, rather than just plain text. Hopefully this will reduce clutter and be easier to navigate! As a result I've deleted all my old 'news' posts and started again afresh.
Sedgefield Blues Club 26/5/2017:
I recently supported the amazing Eugene bridges at Sedgefield Blues Club, it was a fantastic evening of Blues and one I will not forget in a hurry. The show was sold out and the audience were 100% awesome from start to finish. This was my second time playing Sedgefield and it felt like I was playing to a room full of old friends, in fact I'd had a couple of requests from people before I'd even taken to the stage, and it's always nice when you're asked to play one of your own songs (especially at a blues gig). The night was absolutely boiling hot both figuratively and literally, but this didn't hinder peoples enjoyment of mine or Eugene's sets, they lapped it up and demanded more. Local photographer John Finlayson captured the night with some great pictures and also filmed me playing 'Don't Burn the Witch' from my album The Macabre Blues. Many thanks to John and Garry for inviting me to play their amazing Blues Club.
